Abstract
This paper investigates the M\M\C queuing system with encouraged arrival where the arrival rate increases as the number of customer in the system grows. Encouraged arrival refers to a situation where the arrival rate of customers, increase due to various reasons like discount, seasonal sale etc., Encouraged arrival follows poisson distribution and service follows exponential distribution. There are ‘C’ servers available in the system. In online forums and communities encouraged arrival occurs with increased user participation. Also in retail shops store promotions, discounts result in encouraged arrivals. As per the recent trend in this paper we analyze the steady-state behaviour of the existing system of M\M\C queue with encouraged arrival using steady-state equations and derive key performance metrics such as length and waiting time of the queue and system.
